Raised among the Ten’gwaël Druids of Nan Thalias, Rheda was one of two humans in her whole coven, the other being her father. Though she was always conscious of her heavier features compared to her elven brethren, and conscious further of her rapid development too. It would often weigh on Rheda’s heart, even as a child that she would perish centuries before her peers, and have naught an impact on the realm of Renmaeth and the fey of Tharador.

Learning of his daughter’s woes, Rheda’s father Rognar gifted to her a traditional druidic herbal brew, consisting of concentrate of one of the four Trees of Tharador’s sap. Such a brew is drank usually by only the senior druids charged with the responsibility of tending one of the trees, for it links their own life force to the life force of the tree and the thousands of druids souls and bodies within that keep each tree alive.

So Rheda thus became bound to the tree of Brel Vardra in Alimroth, and her lifespan of less than one century instead saw three. The Druidic Circle of Brel Vardra became her new family, her father passed in age like many humans did but Rheda’s life persisted. Though in the centuries she saw the tragic turns of the Alimrothi people as technology took their minds, their love of their ancient traditions, rituals and lands became instead an obsession with metal, fire and smoke. It wasn’t long until the Alimrothi saw Brel Vardra and its druids as little more than old superstition, opting to slaughter the circle and set ablaze the tree for they grew tired of the druid’s attempting to meddle in their affairs.

Rheda fled westward to Mayreth, tending to the forests there and living in solitude for many years, feeling her life fleeing from her body slowly as the tree too begun to whither beyond the mountains of Alimroth. Having seen the Alimrothi poison slowly festering in the lands she now calls home, Rheda vowed to ensure the same fate would not befall Mayreth’s lands as Alimroth. Joining with the small guerilla force of Steadfort, she aims to route the raiders from the land, and eventually fight her way to the old dying tree and have it healed and restored so it may maintain the balance of nature and fey in Tharador’s northeast.
